Lazy - it happens!

Happiness.
Hi Readership.

What can I say? I have been lazy for the past few days. :( No skirting around it.

Here is what I have done:

Walking with the exception of yesterday (I was very lazy on Saturday!!) and I went swimming today.

Reading - I am only reading a very cheesy novel by Nora Roberts called, "The Macgrevor Grooms". I bought it the other morning at the supermarket when I knew that I would have down time for reading. I love reading VERY CHEESY novels from time to time. Hey, I can admit it without any shame. Just as I admit I read US weekly every week and I love cheesy movies. ;)

By tomorrow, I should be back in the swing of things! If not, you will get another post like this.

Love,

Lulu

Picture is to remind me not to stress my last few days and to keep on with my journey!

Two not feeling well days

Hello Family and Friends!

I did not post the last two days because I was under the weather. I was not feeling well and I was a bit cranky! ;)

I will be back online tonight. I am not going out, so I will probably take a 30 minute walk this evening.

Thank you for your understanding!

I hope that you all have a wonderful start to the weekend.

Lulu

Modest Mouse

concert

Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for Tuesday, June 24, 2008:
  1. Physical Health - I went on a bike ride for 32 minutes, I was in the zone for 22 minutes, Average was 151, High was 172, Calories burned = 309. This heart rate monitor is great! I love it. Well, I definitely felt the burn when I first got on the bike today. The longer ride on Sunday definitely made an impact on my leg muscles! That is the point - keep it up. During the week, I can't do one hour and a half, but I can certainly work 30 minutes in. ;)
  2. Mental Health - I have not read anything today. I will have to work on this later tonight! I still have awhile for the day to end.
  3. Emotional Health - Last night I went to the Modest Mouse concert. That was two days worth of happiness. It was a wonderful concert. I will admit that I did not get to work in the 30 minutes of straight walking yesterday. I did walk around Lincoln Road a little bit before and after the concert. Yesterday's concert was also the first time I have been General Admission area. I got the tickets pre-sale. All the pre-sale tickets were GA. I have never been so close to a live band AND it is one of my favorite bands! I was on my tip toes most of the concert to get a better view. I also "concert dancing" for most of the show. Hey, this could be my physical health for yesterday! LOL. In any event, I had a wonderful time (enough to be my emotional happiness for 2 days!) I think that I will stick to having an actual seat next concert though. It is tough being pushed around, standing, being next to obnoxious fans for about 3 hours!
I am posting a You Tube clip already online from last nights concert! The sound quality is definitely not as good as at the show! I just wanted you to see the area I was in. If you want to watch it, make sure to be on your personal computer. No watching from work! I don't want to get anyone in trouble! Can you believe that videos are already up from the show? That is one of the things that bothered me last night. Everyone is so into taking (and then showing their whole group) pictures and videos on their digital cameras. I stopped taking my camera to shows about 1 year ago. I noticed that I enjoy the moment a lot more without it. Plus your videos and pictures never turn out all that well!
I am also posting a little cartoon that I found to reflect my experience in the GA area last night.

Love,
Lulu

P.S. If you have a few extra minutes, check out their opening act - Dirty Dozen Brass Band. They are a New Orleans brass band. They are incredible live! It was a pleasant addition. :)

Bike Ride

Hello Family and Friends!

bicycle
I know - I missed a couple of days. Since those days included just basic walking, etc. I am not going to back track and post for Friday and Saturday.

Here is the breakdown for Sunday, June 22, 2008:
  1. Physical Health - I went on a bike ride on my brand new bike with Nessa. The total bike ride distance - 5 miles! We went to Ludlam Road and Old Cutler Road from my house. We went at around 11:45 this morning. It was very hot! We had to take a couple of breaks in the shade. We were both happy to get stuck in a 5 minute rain shower. It felt good! I wore my heart rate monitor. Here is the summary: Duration was 1 hour and 25 minutes (including our breaks), I was in my target heart rate zone for 48 minutes, my average was 146, Max was 178, total Calories burned was 768 calories! Not bad for my first big bike ride in years! Eventually, I would like to ride all the way down to USI and Ludlam Road to the Starbucks there. I will make it one day. :)
  2. Mental Health - I am still reading from "You on a Diet". It has been very informative re-reading it. Still have not found a second book to read. Thank you to Fl edging Author and Misfit for your tips.
  3. Emotional Health - The bike ride was definitely the highlight for my day. Thank you for going with me, Nessa. We also stopped by Deering Estate to take advantage of our membership. That is when I stopped the heart rate monitor. We parked our bikes and walked around on the path inside, but left after about 20 minutes because it looked like rain. I really enjoyed the Park. I look forward to take advantage of my membership and going more often.
Well, I have to go. We are in the middle of a bad thunderstorm and Gold is trying to dig up my carpet from being scared. He just went into my closet and formed a little ball!

Swimming and Walking on a Thurday! Great way to wind down!

Exercise girl

Hello Family and Friends!
  1. Physical Health - Today I did a combo exercise, I went swimming. Afterwards, we took Gold on a walk to the water. After all the rain that we have had this week, it was very nice to be outdoors for a good hour and 20 minutes. Expect for the gnats. Eww! The water at Deering Bay was so flat today, it looked like a mirror. Beautiful! The pool was really nice when we were swimming because of the reflection. Look for some posts about bike riding coming soon. I got a new Mongoose bike today. It is silver and purple. I am very excited I was using my brothers from time to time now. It was way too big for me. I got one my size now! :) To let my readers know how I feel after yesterdays core exercises, my muscles were burning! That is a good thing. I felt it every time that I got up from chair at work today. I kept thinking: "Feel that burn!!". LOL
  2. Mental Health - I am still reading from "You on a Diet". They have a "dessert" of 2 sliced peaches, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg, 1/4 cup fresh raspberries, 1/4 cup blueberries, and 1 1/2 tsp mini semisweet chocolate chips. You just mix it up and enjoy. For each serving - there are 46 calories, 0.4g of fat, 2.6 g fiber, 11.5 g carbs, 8.9 g sugar, and 1 g protein. How fresh and delicious does that sound for the summer? I am going to try that soon. I might even put it over a little of nonfat plain yogurt. Yummy!
  3. Emotional Health - I was most happy swimming and walking today. So refreshing and a great way to unwind on a Thursday!
The "I am getting healthy" girl that I found today to post is hilarious. I am posting it because that is what I am trying to do - become more balanced with my all over health. :)

For my "Mental Health" portion, I am noticing that if I post about what I am reading, I am more inclined to actually read. "Mental Health" is the area that I have been slacking. Please let me know if you like my comments about what I am reading versus just saying that I read for 30 minutes. :)

Good Night! Is everyone ready for Friday? I am!

Lulu

Toning Exercises

work out

Hello Family and Friends!
  1. Physical Health - Today I did my minimum 30 minutes of walking. No spinning classes when I could make it today. That attempt will be another day for my cardio work out. Good news - I did 20 minutes of toning exercises. I used a DVD that I got the other day for free. I enjoyed it and I am already feeling the burn in my legs and arms. Which means that if I do it 3 -4 days a week I should see results. By the way, it is longer than 20 minutes, but that is all that I can do today. I was aching and I didn't want to push myself. It is 30 minutes, so I should be doing the whole workout by next week.
  2. Mental Health - Still reading from "You on a Diet". I actually took one of the tips for dinner. Make a bowl of healthy soup (I made it from scratch using cannelloni beans, low sodium veggie stock, one onion, one garlic glove, spinach, and a few other spices) and eat it before 1 cup as a "pre-dinner appetizer" to fill you up a little so you eat less. Along with the soup, I had one small chicken breast tenderloin made on the grill pan with a side of mixed green, strawberry, walnut, and lightly dressed salad. The whole meal was great! If you want the full soup recipe, please let me know. You can also have the same portion as a healthy mid afternoon snack.
  3. Emotional Health -I cooked the whole, healthy dinner from scratch. I must say the soup was rather easy, chicken was prepared on the grill pan, salad was simple. The whole process took 40 minutes. Not bad at all. It made me happy to cook today. :)

That's all for now. The weather in Miami was terrible today. I think that I want to relax under the covers and watch some TV!

Lulu

Beautiful Night

puppy eyes

Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for Tuesday , June 17, 2008:
  1. Physical Health - I had ever intention of going to spinning today. I packed my gym bag last night and everything. Unfortunately, I did not make it. I am not going to stress it and I will try again tomorrow. :) I did my 30 minimum minutes of walking on the treadmill today instead - no outside picutres for the post. Better than nothing!
  2. Mental Health - Still rereading "You on a Diet" by Dr. Oz. I already ready my 30 minutes of beneficial reading from the book today. One important thing in the book - your life isn't perfect, why should your diet? You have a moment of weakness - do not extended it to many moments! I like that. Hence, the reason I am not stressing missing spinning. I will do it tomorrow. If not, I will go sometime in the near future. Most important thing - do at least 30 minutes of walking a day. ;)
  3. Emotional Health - I was outside about 25 minutes ago. Did anyone see the beautiful moon over Miami tonight? Gorgeous! As I was enjoying the moon, it disappeared under clouds. But I still saw it! Besides that, I had a lovely lunch with Nena Bear. I hadn't seen her since last Tuesday. Oh, plus my dog woke me up this morning by barking at me. But it was in such a cute way that I didn't mind. He made a slight bark for my attention and gave me the most innocent eyes after. That is where the saying about puppy dogs eyes comes from. How can you be mad at something so cute? LOL

Thank you for all the comments about my post yesterday. PLEASE keep them coming. I love it! My readership is the best. :)

Love,
Lulu

Manic Monday

Crocs

Hello Family and Friends!

This morning I woke up with the song Manic Monday by the Bangles in my head. Precisely the lyrics, "I wish it was Sunday Cause that's my fun day". I think that is because I wanted another relaxation day. In any event, my Monday was good. :)

Here is the breakdown for MONDAY :) , June 16, 2008:
  1. Physical Health - I did 30 minutes of walking today. I also went walking at lunch with Misfit. We also enjoyed leftover BBQ from my Fathers Day BBQ. It was nice and healthful.
  2. Mental Health - Okay, I am reading for the second time, "You on a Diet" by Dr. Oz. I will probably not read the whole thing again, but I will get at least my 30 minutes of beneficial reading from it today.
  3. Emotional Health -I had two good meals today. Lunch was nice. For dinner, I ate with my lovely Mom. Very nice day, definitely not a Manic Monday! I also have US Weekly to read. My favorite guilty pleasure! :)
You might be wondering why I have a pair of Crocs as my pic of the day. That is because I actually bought a pair! I did not buy the clogs. I got a flat pair as pictured (except the color I bought is Teal). I think they are rather cute with pants. My friend Ice Cream recently bought a pair and let me try them on. It was like floating on air. She got me to try them on by saying they are better than flip flops. I live in flips flops when I am not at work. I even wear them to and from work every day and bring my heels with me. Lately my ankle that I have sprained sometimes feels strained. I think living in flip flops might be why. As comfortable as flip flops are, they offer no support. Now don't get my wrong, I will not be giving up my flip flops. I will just be wearing my "cute" crocs as an alternate from time to time. They offer support and flexibility. I invite you to try on a pair next time you are in Macy*s or Whole Foods. Walk in them for one aisle. Just check them out - I eventually gave them a chance after years of making fun of them. :)

Here is some information about the benefits:

Malindi Crocs Shoes (style that I bought), I especially like descriptions 1 and 4. I can attest to those. Also, I was not sure what Croslite was - I copied that for our knowledge as well. Who knew all this about Crocs?

  • Stylish, fun flat that allows feet to breath in warm weather
  • Slim fitting, feminine design provides the ultimate comfy Croslite shoe for women
  • Footbed conforms to foot creating a custom fit
  • Circulation nubs stimulate blood flow

  • all crocs™ brand shoes feature crocs'™ proprietary closed-cell resin, croslite™, which represents a substantial innovation in footwear. the croslite™ material enables us to produce soft, comfortable, lightweight, superior-gripping, non-marking and odor resistant shoes. these unique elements make crocs™ footwear ideal for casual wear, as well as for professional and recreational uses.

    Bye for now!

    Love,

P.S. Please do not buy me "Crocs Charms". LOL.

    Absent Lulu

    Hello Family and Friends!

I know - I have not been posting. This will be a general post, not in my usual format. I will get back on track tomorrow. I wasn't feeling well the last few days. I still managed to do 30 minutes of walking on Saturday and today. I also was in the pool for about one hour yesterday. I swam a few laps, kicked my legs around holding on to the edge, etc. Hey, it's something. ;) I will be going in the pool again in a bit. It is most pleasant in the evening time.

Since it is Fathers Day, here is a picture of me, my Dad, and Gold on a walk to Deering Bay yesterday. The reason that my Dad had binoculars is that there are little orchid plants in bloom. I zoomed in and took some pictures. I uploaded one to the blog. By the way, today is Gold's Birthday for those of you who know and love him. He has been with our family for 7 years now. Wow, time flies!

Thank you for your patience and understanding about my missing few days. I love my readership! They are the best and hand selected so far!

    Love,

    Lulu

    Treadmill Day

    Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for Tuesday, June 10, 2008:
    1. Physical Health - When I got home this evening, it was raining outside. No outside exercise for me. :( Instead, I did the treadmill. It was a nice change. Food wise, I was good today as well. :)
    2. Mental Health - I read from In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. last night for about 5 minutes. I am just not getting into it. I am going to find another book for now. I will go back to this book later.
    3. Emotional Health - Hmm. Today I had a good day at work, read my US weekly, and I have Anchorman on the TV right now in the background. That movie always makes me laugh.
Since it was raining today, I am posting a picture of me in London getting rained on. :)

Walking a Doberman (or should I say a Doberman walking me)!

    Good Day, Family and Friends!

Happy Monday! I wish everyone a wonderful week.

Here is the breakdown for today:
    1. Physical Health - Before I write about my exercise of the day, I am going to say that I had an excellent day food wise!
    • Breakfast - One hard boiled egg and 2% cheese stick. One tall skinny latte (that is the size that I allow myself now).
    • Mid-morning snack - 2 WASA wheat crackers. Most people do not like these, but I find them good.
    • Lunch - grilled churrasco, grilled mushrooms and zucchini, salad (lettuce, avocado, tomato, and vinaigrette spray dressing), one teaspoon black olive hummus. This was all portioned and shared with Misfit Debutant.
    • Mid-afternoon snack - half cup of 1% cottage cheese and one small peach
    • Dinner - 4 ounces chicken breast and about 2 tablespoons home-made tabbouleh
    • Water - I had about 8 cups throughout the day.
For exercise, I walked 20 minutes with Misfit Debutant after lunch around the outdoor mall. After work, I walked Gold (the best dobe!) to the bay. My mom joined us.When you walk him, you get a pretty good workout. Man, it is tough controlling a 72 pound doberman that just wants to get to the water already!

    2. Mental Health - I will be reading 30 minutes tonight. I will have to let you know about this tomorrow as I have not decided what yet!

    3. Emotional Health - Today both my walks made me happy. It is really nice just to get outdoors with someone else. There is something about a brisk walk in the fresh air that revives you. I definitely was in need of that to start the work week off.

    Pictures for today:

I brought my camera on the walk with me. I took pictures of: Gold walking me, all of us at the bay, and of the beautiful reflection of the bay today. If you would like me to send you the whole album, please just let me know (48 pictures). If not, enjoy the pictures that I selected for the blog. I hope that the pictures inspire you to get out in that fresh air and exercise or simply enjoy the day!! :)

Just as a side note: I really do feel a lot more healthy than even 1 week ago! I am truly enjoying my new 30 minutes rule and writing about it.

    Love,
    Lulu

P.S. The comments with tips, encouragement, etc have been great. Please keep them up! And at this point, I invite you all to share the blog with your friends, etc. I am more comfortable with it. I have to go, I have a dog barking and whining at me for attention! Little does he know that I am writing about him! LOL.

    Marlins Win! :)

    Hello Family and Friends!

I am posting on time today!

Here is the breakdown for Sunday, June 8, 2008:
    1. Physical Health - I did the 30 minutes of walking today. Food wise - not so good! :( Well, I did go to the Marlins game. ;)
    2. Mental Health - I read from In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. - did not read 30 minutes. :(
    3. Emotional Health - The Marlins won 9 -2. It was a great game. Since they are not playing in Miami for Fathers Day, they let the Fathers and their kids go onto the field to play catch today. I went on to the field with my father and brother. They played catch and I took LOTS of pictures. It was the first time that I have been on the Marlins field. The colors were vibrant. I loved it. Nothing beats a good baseball game in June! After the game, we went to eat dinner at Tarpon Bend. It was a wonderful meal. We all went walking afterwards with the dog. There were the two cutest little girls at the water by my house. They loved gold and he loved them. The younger sister kept grabbing at Gold's little tail. :)
Today was a great day. I feel fine from the roller blading, my sore muscles are getting better.

    Good Night!

    Love,

    Lulu

Picture is of me on the field today! :)

Art, walking, Roller blading, and a baby!

    Hello Family and Friends!

I have not blogged for two days! I went out on Friday night and got home on the later side yesterday after being out most of the day. In any event, this post is for Friday and Saturday. :)

Here is the breakdown for Friday, June 6, 2008:
    1. Physical Health - As I mentioned on Thursday post, I had plans for after work. I got to work early, so I walked for 45 minutes around Coral Gables. I discovered an Indian Bistro that I would like to try. For my evening plans, we started off at the Coral Gables Art walk for my friend's art appreciation class. I tagged along with another friend for the experience. As luck would have it, we walked the same streets that I walked in the AM. Only this time, I had heels on! Ouch. The balls of my feet were throbbing. Since I felt it in my legs, that walk definitely contributed to my physical health day.
    2. Mental Health - Same book - In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. Only today I read for 10 minutes. Better than nothing at all.
    3. Emotional Health - I enjoyed both my solo walk and my art crawl. Another combo of physical and emotional health. After the art walk, I went on with my friend to meet up with two more friends at the Grove. We had one drink at Fat Tuesdays with great conversation. Since I got home around 1:45 AM, I did not post about it until now. :)

Here is the breakdown for Saturday, June 7, 2008
    1. Physical Health - I went roller blading! I only fell once and I did not injury myself. I did spend a good amount of time on the grass. :) With the encouragement of Nessa and company, I did get on the actual trail at park eventually. LOL. For my first time roller blading in 12 years, I think that I did okay. My biggest issue is that I am over analyzing roller blading. I just need to find my barrings and go. Oh, and remember to: keep my knees bent, butt out, chest out, glide with one foot and push off with the other, look up, it's okay to "swim", etc. I am confident that it will all flow together with practice and eventually I will be a roller blading expert that can skate backwards like Nessa. Show off! ;) Seriously, thank you to Nessa and company for all your help last night (including the laughing at me and taking pictures of me as I tried to stand up for the first time in 12 years on roller blades). I will be willing to post one of those pics up after you upload them.
    2. Mental Health - I did not read anything beneficial at all! Just by writing this entry, I have discovered "Mental" health is the area that I need to focus on. A minimum of 30 minutes beneficial reading a day should be meet every day.
    3. Emotional Health - I went to a lovely baby shower (the baby was the star of the show as he was already born!). The baby was adorable and her family was very kind. After that, i went with 4 friends to have authentic Mexican food including Margaritas. Yum! The highlight of my emotional happiness was the roller blading. I laughed a lot. Good times. :)

The good thing about posting after I did all the above, I can write about how I feel. Today I feel sore from roller blading. With the exception of my arms, I am sore all over. My abs ache, my legs are throbbing. Guess what? I love it! I feel great. I have not weighed myself, but I am wearing capris today that didn't fit me for awhile.

Well, I am off to get ready for the Marlins game. Go Marlins! They need the encouragement. :)

    Love,
    Lulu

P.S. Nessa and M, the cartoon is especially for you guys. Thank you for the advice of buying the protective gear with the roller blades. :)

Walk with a friend - you both benefit! :)

    Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for my day:
    1. Physical Health - 45 minutes of walking and I forgot the heart rate monitor. Heart rate tracking will be coming soon! My form of exercise was most enjoyable today as I was joined by two lovely friends, Nessa and G. We went to a different park. I believe alternating the routine slightly will continue to help me. The most important thing is that I get bare minimum 30 minutes of walking a day. There will be a slight change tomorrow since I have plans after work. My 30 minutes of walking will be done prior to work. In addition, my blog will probably be written on Saturday morning for Friday (depending on what time I get home at night). As far as food today, I was really good! I ate dinner early and no overeating at any meal. I had three well balanced meals and one snack.
    2. Mental Health - Same book - In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. I am making progress, almost finished. Manipulators out there, beware - I am learning. ;)
    3. Emotional Health - My emotional health and physical health are tied together today. The evening walk with friends was great. To wind the day down, I will finish last night Top Chef. I fell asleep before it ended last night. I love that show.
How do I feel today? I feel energized (with only one cup of coffee in the AM), I didn't complain that I was tired in the morning (I often do!), and my feet are not hurting. When I am out of the house all day (and I do not get home until 9:30), I am usually cranky, exhausted, and my feet hurt. Today I have enough energy to write this blog and still play with the best doggie ever. :)

No need to comment on the picture of the day. Take action and exercise with a buddy.

    Love,

    Lulu

P.S. I received my roller blades and protective gear today. I will probably use them for the first time Saturday. I haven't been roller blading since I was 15 years old. Wish me luck!

    Por Fin

    Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for my day:
    1. Physical Health - 30 minutes of walking. That is all. I didn't do the You on a Diet Exercises. Not going to sweat it. Thank you, Nessa, for the tips on the heart rate monitor. That tracking will start tomorrow!!Food wise - not so good! I went to Por Fin (on the Gables Restaurant Week) for the special. I had: Batatas Bravas, Sea Bass, and White Chocolate Mouse. I was very good the rest of the day!! Food was excellent and well worth the calories!!!! :)
    2. Mental Health - I am still read In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. I am getting into it!
    3. Emotional Health - The Por Fin meal was great! Excellent food and company! When I got home today, my father was in the pool with a glass of wine. After my walk, he was still in the pool. My brother and I decided to join him with our own glasses of wine. Sister, do not freak out - the dog joined us. It was only for a few minutes and he was fine. :0)
I felt great today! The picture that I choose for today reflects my sunny day. I had a good day at work, great meals, and exercised.
I honestly don't think that I have lost any weight. However, I feel fit and I am confident it will show soon. I am more sore today than yesterday from the bike ride on Monday. Go figure. I guess it took 2 days to get to my muscles. LOL. :)

    Love,

    Lulu

P.S. Thank you to Nessa for the comments. I love them. I know that I motivated you to get a bike based my one bike ride (LOL), but you are motivating me to write my blog tonight. I was a little lazy and didn't want to write it. I wrote this one just for you because I know that you are going to check it tomorrow. You are the best friend ever to motivate me!

    Tuesday, June 3, 2008

    Hello Family and Friends!

Here is the breakdown for my day:
    1. Physical Health - I did my 30 minutes of walking. I felt like sushi, so I went for sushi for dinner. I did get brown rice for my roll. I also had a cream based soup for lunch. Not the best food wise, but that is okay! Tomorrow I am going to add the exercises from You on a Diet. That will help with toning. Cardio is most important to me at this point, I think that I am doing a lot better at this point. :)
    2. Mental Health - Today I read In Sheep's Clothing by George K. Simon, Jr. I am not sure if I like it yet. I will let you know more tomorrow....
    3. Emotional Health - I really enjoyed my sushi meal with my brother! I will watch a little of the Marlins game with my father now. I am going to watch some of the election coverage after that. Oh, I also laughed for about 5 minutes straight with someone from work. Laughing is my emotional cure. I love to laugh with my family and friends.
Today was another good day! Cheers for many more.

    Love,

    Lulu

P.S. I am trying to post a relevant picture everyday. Since I didn't want to search for a sushi pic, I used a picture of my brother-in-law's tuna dish from New Years. We had raw tuna today, so it works. THE TUNA DISH PICTURED WAS MUCH BETTER!!!! :) :)

    First Day

    Hello Friends and Family!

Here is the breakdown for my day:
    1. Physical Health - I went bike riding on a path by my house. I extended it past the path to the nearest cross street. I also ate well today. I had: cheese and crackers for breakfast, almonds for mid morning snack, portioned brown rice and chicken for lunch, 1% yogurt with blueberries, honey, and granola for mid afternoon snack, and small portion green bean stew (no rice) for dinner after my bike riding. I also had 6 bottles of water today.
    2. Mental Health - I broke this down into 15 minute increments. I read for 15 minutes before work and 15 minutes after work. (I am reading You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay. Thank you, sis!)
    3. Emotional Health - I had coffee at Ebar with my friends LM and VD. We had a lovely time. I also talked to my friend LL about a baby shower for Saturday. Total time for all of the above was probably 20 minutes. However, I am going to read my new US Weekly. It did not come on Saturday this week. Celebrity gossip is my guilty pleasure, so I will get my fill today.
Since my lovely is barking at me for attention, I am including a picture of him. He makes me happy. :)

I am all about being happy today!

    Love,

    Lulu

    Healty times three

Starting tomorrow, I am going to work daily on my health. This includes three different kinds of health: physical, emotional, and mental. Here is a breakdown of my plan: Physical health - at least 30 minutes of walking daily. Emotional health- at least 30 minutes daily of an activity that makes me happy. Mental health - at least 30 minutes of beneficial reading a day. I will track the progress of all three health activities here daily. I will invite friends and family that encourage me to read and post their own efforts here. Bye for now, Lulu :)
